Missions

Beechland Baptist Church is a fellowship of believers with a heart for missions. It is our desire to share the Good News of Jesus Christ on a local, regional and international level.

In Sunday School on Mission, each small group at Beechland sponsors a unique mission project which is near and dear to their hearts.

We also support Prodigal House of Louisville, KY. This ministry provides encouragement and support to men as they are released from prison and re-entering society.

Habitat for Humanity is active in our community and Beechland provides financial support as well as laborers to build new homes for families in need.

Our church has established a relationship with Compassion International, which endeavors to "release children from poverty in Jesus' name." Many of our members currently have one-to-one sponsorships of children living in various parts of the world. As an extension of this project, Beechland sponsors will visit the Dominican Republic, where many of our sponsored children live, in early 2011. Following the initial visit, we plan to make regular trips to the Dominican Republic, providing physical and financial support to those ministering in the communities where our sponsored children reside.
