Beechland Academy of Music is a ministry of Beechland Baptist Church. Our purpose is to provide quality Christian training in music to our church and community. It is our goal to aid in the development of our student's self-esteem, interactions with others, personality, skills, and accomplishments.
Private lessons are offered weekly at Beechland, by a qualified staff of Christian instructors. The lessons, adapted to the student's age and experience, are taught in the Family Life Center, and are scheduled at a mutually agreeable time between the student and the instructor.
During the fall and spring semesters, the Academy students are given a chance to perform in a Recital. This is an optional program for our students. It gives our students a chance to share in their accomplishments with family and friends.
Registration
Please fill out a registration form, and mail along with your registration check. Please make registration checks payable to: Beechland Baptist Church
Tuition
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $20.00 for the first year of instruction, and a $15.00 fee for each of the following years. Lessons are held once a week for 30 minutes. The cost per lesson is determined by the experience, knowledge, and degree of the teacher. Lessons range between $15 - 20 per lesson, which averages between $60 - 80 per month. No lessons will be given until tuition is paid. Lessons will not be refunded by the instructor at any time.
Make Up Lessons
An attempt to make up private lessons may be arranged if 24 hours or more notice is given to the instructor prior to the missed lesson. It is the student's responsibility to notify the teacher if a lesson is to be missed for any reason. If the teacher cannot be reached, the student may notify the Director of the Academy @ 935-1313 ext. 207. Failure to notify the teacher or the Director will result in no make up lesson being given, and the student will be charged for the lesson that is missed.
